The Old Packhouse Butchery is everything you’d come to expect from a quality local butcher. We have a traditional shop front and always ensure the highest level of hygiene and meat quality.

We specialise in the highest quality free range meats, with all cuts produced in store. We source our meats from all over New Zealand and only select the highest premium grade available, all at fantastically competitive prices – even compared to the supermarkets!

In addition to our meats, and fresh eggs, we stock local raw milk from Bella Vacca. The Bella Vacca farm is nestled just to the west of Kawakawa is the Pokapu Valley, where the Goodhue Family have farmed for over 100 years, producing milk of the highest quality.

We also stock cheeses from the award winning local Mahoe Farmhouse Cheeses. Mahoe Cheeses has been operating in the bay of islands since 1986, all the milk for their cheeses comes from their own small herd of cows. With the cheesery adjoining the milking shed their milk is pasteurised and made into cheese within 24 hours. You could ask for a fresh, more artisan cheese if you tried.
